Phillips, Shirley T., age 87 of Kettering, passed away Wednesday, October 23, 2013. She was born September 17, 1926 in Boone Co., KY, the daughter of the late George Dewey & Emma (Peters) Scott. Shirley was a member of the Hunt Avenue Free Pentecostal Church. Preceded in death by her husband William M. Phillips, her son Scott Phillips, 2 brothers Rowland & Lindsey and 2 sisters Gladys & Marie. She is survived by her 2 daughters Kay Laughlin and husband Dan, Pam Phillips, her son Steve Phillips and wife Peggy, a brother Edward Scott and wife Elsie, 4 sisters Isabella Bowling and husband Gaston, Laura Short and husband Bob, Ardella Redwine and husband Ed, Louvada Saunderhaus and husband Paul, 6 grandchildren Greg, Darrin, Joey, Heather, Shannon, Colin, 9 great grandchildren, her daughter-in-law Jenny Phillips, and a host of other family members and friends. Funeral services will be held on Monday, October 28, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. from the SWART & WOLFE FUNERAL HOME, West Carrollton with Rev. Bill Glenn, Rev. Brian Smith, & Rev. Greg Lantis officiating. Burial Brookside Cemetery, West Chester. The family will receive friends on Sunday from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
