Shirley Ann Kincaid, age 91 of West Carrollton, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, September 17, 2024, at Kettering Health Network – Main Campus, surrounded by her loving family.
She was born on September 5, 1933, the daughter of the late Robert Nelson "R.N" and Martha Jane (Coffee) Stapleton.
Mrs. Kincaid was the Owner of Kincaid Excavating with over 30 years of service. She attended the West Carrollton Church of the Nazarene and was a member of the Red Hat Society. Shirley was on the bowling league at Driftwood Bowling Alley for many years, she was a loving and doting mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and most of all she loved spending time with her family and friends; to know her is to love her.
Preceded in death by her husband Clifford Kincaid on Oct. 1, 1984, her son Clifford Michael Kincaid on May 30, 2023, her 2 brothers Billy Bentley Stapleton and Robert Nelson "Junior" Stapleton, Jr., her 2 brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law Elmer "Dood" and Grace Kincaid, Tom & Faye Kincaid, sister-in-law Jean Acuff, 3 nephews Leon, Frank, and Todd, her niece Shirley, and by her special friend Rosa Cox.
She is survived by her 2 sons Dr. Craig Kincaid (Susan) and Doug Kincaid (Gina), her daughter Sherry Kay Kincaid, special sister-in-law Sally Stapleton, 10 grandchildren Ashleigh (Travis) Dalton, Mike Kincaid, John (Kylee) Kincaid, Maria Kincaid, Caroline Isenbarger, Shelby Isenbarger, Courtney Kincaid (Dylan) Howe, Robert "Rob" Craig (Kayla) Kincaid, Sarah Kincaid (Justin) Lovett, and Jason (Jill) Sheets, 13 great grandchildren Taj, Aiden, Nova, Stevie, Amelia, John Kelly, Nicole, Mason, Abram, Alaina, Malachi, Liam, and Waylon, nieces & nephews Amy Belk (Tim), Joey (Lisa) Stapleton, Pat (Chip) Underwood, Elmer (Louise) Kincaid, Linda (David) Rutherford, special cousin Jean (Ray) Johns, special friends Cheryle Thacker, The Cox Family, and Rusty & Ann Rachford.
A Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, September 20, 2024, at the Swart Funeral Home, West Carrollton, with Pastor Bryan Heil officiating. Burial will follow at the Evergreen Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. (2 hours prior to service) on Friday at the funeral home.
