Sarilynne Shady, age 83 of Moraine, passed away peacefully on Monday, March 27, 2023, at the Kettering Health Network – Miamisburg, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on July 30, 1939, Jonesboro, AR, the daughter of the late Orlie J. & Mary Catherine (Spann) Sims.

Mrs. Shady was a Sales Associate for Meijer and a member of the Miami Shores Baptist Church. Preceded in death by her 4 siblings Jimmy Sims, Orlie Sims, Jr. Dorothy Sims, and Jerry Sims, 2 sisters-in-law Barb Sims and Becky Sims, and by her brother -in-law Dale Sims.

She is survived by her loving husband of 41 years John Shady, her sister Karen Tomlinson, her 6 children  Anna Hildren, Lewis Maynard, III and wife Connie, Mona Decaminada, Mindy Van Bergen and husband Andy, Brook Shady, and Gabe Shady and wife Dawn, her sister-in-law Brenda Sims, 14 grandchildren Joshua Hilden and wife Karen, Christopher Hilden and wife Erin, Nicholas Hilden, Shirley Lyson and husband Jeremy, Lewis Maynard, IV and wife Jessica, Kristi Couch and husband Myron, Jeremy Maynard, Leanne Bear and husband Transton, Amanda Iaconelli and husband Jason, Travis Decaminada., Bella Shady, Jordan Shady, Hunter Shady and wife Katie, Ethan Shady and wife Rebecca, 21 great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

Funeral Services will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, April 1, 2023, at the Swart Funeral Home, West Carrollton with Pastor Doug Surber officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, March 31, 2023, at the funeral home and from 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. (1 hour prior to service) on Saturday at the funeral home.
