Rovena I. Kinder, age 90 of West Carrollton, passed away peacefully on Friday, January 24, 2025, at her home. She was born on November 10, 1934, in Williamsburg, KY, the daughter of the late Raymond & Winnie (Patrick) Meadows.

Mrs. Kinder retired from Walter Shade Elementary School after 20 years of service. She attended the Friendship Baptist Church in Miamisburg.

Preceded in death by her husband Kevie Kinder in 2018, an infant sister, and by 5 sisters Ruth, Rose Edna, Randy, Coleen and Joie.

She is survived by her loving children: son Bill Kinder and wife Rebecca, her daughter Melissa Kinder, 4 grandchildren Beth Rudd and husband Tim, Kendra Stokes and husband Brian, Bobby Kinder and wife Gabrielle, and Rebecca Manning, 11 great grandchildren Brynn, Logan, Theo, Stella, Kendyl, Maddox, Gretchen, Beckett, Kaia, Ava, and Mia, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

The family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 29, 2025, at the Swart Funeral Home, West Carrollton. Burial will be held at the New Mt. Zion Cemetery in Williamsburg, KY. Ellison Funeral Home, Williamsburg, KY entrusted for the out-of-town services.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the MUM Food Pantry, C/O Memorial United Methodist Church, 26 N. Locust St., West Carrollton in honor of Mrs. Rovena I. Kinder.
