Hodgson, Ross A., age 73 of West Carrollton, departed this life unexpectedly on Friday, January 8, 2016 at the Kettering Medical Center following a brief illness. He was born May 8, 1942 in Dayton, the son of the late Carl & Geraldine (Humphries) Hodgson. He was a graduate of West Carrollton High School Class of 1960, retired from Dayton Power & Light with 38 years of faithful service, was a Youth and Adult Leader with the Boy Scouts of America, was a member of the West Carrollton Historical Society, Lodge 737 F & A.M., and St. James United Methodist Church, Miamisburg. Preceded in death by his uncle Ralph Hodgson, and cousin Scott Hodgson. Ross leaves to honor his memory his daughter Katherine (John) Turton, and their daughter Kellen Turton, son Philip (Patricia) Hodgson and their children Sarah, Emily, and Sydney Hodgson,  son Joel (Rachel) Hodgson, the mother of his children Flossie Acheson, friend Linda Zimmer. The family would like to extend gratitude and appreciation to Dr. Snider and the Staff of KMC/ICU for their care and concern for Ross. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, January 14, 2016 at 12 Noon at the SWART & WOLFE FUNERAL HOME, West Carrollton. Burial Glen Haven Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends on Thursday one hour prior to the service.
