Rosa L. Cox, age 86 of West Carrollton, passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 31, 2024, at the Astoria Health & Rehab Center, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on February 01, 1938, in Whitley Co., KY, the daughter of the late Lillard & Julia (Floyd) Alsip.

Preceded in death by her husband Hershel B. Cox on June 25, 1995, her 2 brothers Matt & Jim Alsip, her 4 sisters Pauline Fielden, Artie Poe, Betty Alsip, and Zelma Bolin, special sisters-in-law and by her best friend Joyce Barrett.

She is survived by her loving children Dwaine Cox and wife Belinda, Chris Cox & Tina Cox (Dave Bennett), her brother Charles Alsip and wife Karyn, 4 sisters Maxine Reedy, Mavin Barineau, Joan Carman & Charlotte Angel, her brother-in-law Ned Bolin, 3 grandchildren Jamie Whaley and husband Michael, Jackie Dursch and husband Mike, Bradley Eversole (Jessica), 8 great grandchildren Emma, Zane, Evie, Zoey, Libby, Jayse, Rosaleigh, and Lorelei, her 2 best friends Shirley Kincaid & Eunice Hunter, her special sister-in-law, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

A Graveside Service will be held at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday, September 5, 2024, at the Evergreen Cemetery with Rev. Dr. Peter Bellini officiating. The family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Swart Funeral Home on Thursday, September 5, 2024, procession will follow to the graveside service from the funeral home.
