Roger D. "Maverick" Holman, age 80 of Miamisburg, passed away peacefully on Monday, July 28, 2025, at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born on August 31, 1944, in Benedict, Virginia, the son of the late Fred & Helen (Davis) Holman.

Maverick was a retired employee of General Motors with 30 years of service. He enjoyed playing cards, the Tennessee Vols, Tennessee Girls Basketball, Chicago Cubs, and the Detroit Tigers. Maverick also never met a stranger he loved to visit with people and employees at Kroger in Miamisburg, and he especially loved his "Burger King Friends" meeting every morning for coffee and lots of conversations!

Preceded in death by his 6 sisters, his 7 brothers and his son-in-law Brent George on January 6, 2021.

He is survived by his loving wife of 58 years Janice L. (Hart) Holman, his 2 daughters Jennifer (Holman) George & Wendy (Holman) Craft and husband Mike, his 2 granddaughters Amanda George and Lindsey George and fiancé Clark Trost, his grandson Zander Craft (Becca Hobbs), as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

A Graveside Service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, August 4, 2025, at the Hillgrove Cemetery, 1012 E. Central Ave., Miamisburg with Rev. Dr. Joel Getts officiating.
