Robert P. "Bob" Brockman, age 88 of Dayton, passed away peacefully on Thursday, September 14, 2023, at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born on January 4, 1935, in Monticello, KY, the son of the late Vernon & Ida (Morrow) Brockman.

Mr. Brockman honorably served his country in the U.S. Army. He was a former Engineer for NCR with over 24 years of service, and a retired employee of Delphi with several years of service. He was an active member of the First Baptist Church of West Carrollton.

Preceded in death by his daughter Terrie Kanthak, and by his 2 sisters Elizabeth Thompson and Rosemary Reynolds.

He is survived by his loving wife of 66 years Barbara (Mabes) Brockman, 2 daughters Melody Piller and husband Steve, Tambie Trask and husband Paul, his son-in-law Eric Kanthak, his brother Raymond Brockman and wife Patricia, 7 grandchildren Austin Piller and wife Sadie, Jason Piller, Kevin Trask and wife Danielle, Rebecca Trask, Brittani Kanthak and husband Robert McClain, Eric Kanthak, Jr. and wife Elaina, and Mathew Kanthak, 7 great grandchildren, 1 great grandchild on the way, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

Funeral Services will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 23, 2023, at the First Baptist Church of West Carrollton, 705 S. Elm St., West Carrollton, Ohio 45449 with Pastor Scott Wells officiating. Burial will follow at Woodland Cemetery with Military Honors conducted by the Combined Honor Guard.  The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. (2 hours prior to service) on Saturday at the church.
