McGrody, Robert L., age 85 of West Carrollton, passed away Saturday, March 21, 2015. He was born December 3, 1929 in Dayton, the son of the late Phillip & Ida Mae (Harbison) McGrody. Robert was retired from NCR with 28 years of service, a member of St. Henry Catholic Church, American Legion Post #165, and honorable served his country in the U.S. Army. Preceded in death by his wife Aiko K. McGrody in 2000, 3 brothers Phil, Jim & Paul McGrody, and his sister Rita Studebaker. He is survived by his 2 daughters Louise McGrody of Seattle, WA, Rose McGrody (Doug Dacus) of Dayton, and a host of other family and friends. A Mass of Christian Burial will be said on Thursday, March 26, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at the St. Henry Catholic Church, 6696 Springboro Pike, Dayton, Ohio 45449 with Father Tom Shearer celebrant. Burial Miami Valley Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends as the church one hour prior to the Mass. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Dayton in his memory.
