Robert L. "Bob" McDaniel, age 88 of West Carrollton, passed away peacefully on Thursday, December 14, 2023, at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born on March 14, 1935, in West Carrollton, Ohio, the son of the late Lonnie & Hazel Mae (Downard) McDaniel.

Bob honorably served his country in the U.S. Army. He was a retired Postal Clerk from the United States Postal Service with over 33 years of service. Bob was a member of the American Legion Post # 165, Miamisburg, he enjoyed watching NASCAR with Maddy, his family and friends. Bob worked very hard all his life to be able to take his family on memorable vacations.

Preceded in death by his wife Madelyn "Maddy" McDaniel on Sept. 11, 2019, his 2 brothers Richard and William McDaniel, his sister Mary Sue Arnold, and by his brother-in-law Ed Stevens.

He is survived by his loving daughters LeeJean Beringer and husband Arnie, and Lori Bowman and husband Alan, 3 brothers James McDaniel, Frank McDaniel and wife Darlene, Gary McDaniel and wife Sue, 2 sisters Janet Myers and Sherry Stevens, his 3 grandchildren that he adored, Sarah, Belle and Jacob, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

Funeral Services will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 20, 2023, at the Swart Funeral Home, West Carrollton with Rev. Dr. Joel Getts officiating. Burial will follow at Evergreen Cemetery with Full Military Honors conducted by the Combined Honor Guard. The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. (2 hours prior to service) on Wednesday at the funeral home.
