Obituary

Barnhill, Ray V., age 78, of Hillsboro, passed away on Saturday, September 21, 2013 at his home. He was born June 2, 1935, in Carter County, KY, the son of the late Ralph Wick & Mary Elizabeth (White) Barnhill.  Ray was raised in Kentucky, and graduated from Hitchens High School in 1953. He joined the Air Force and was stationed in Okinawa, Japan from 1954-1957. Later, while stationed at Loring AFB in northern Maine, he met and married his first wife, Delia Frances Monaghan.  Ray worked for Delco Moraine until his retirement in 1985. Preceded in death by his twin sister Fay Verna, his second wife Caroline Jane Harman, and his brother Charles Robert Barnhill. He is survived by his son Peter Chris Wallace and wife Carol of Dayton, his two daughters, Stacie Wallace of San Jose, CA, and Kate Johnson and husband Chris of Okanogan, WA, his stepson John Harman and wife Betty of Kettering, his sister Janet Barnhill Mayo, 2 brothers Elmer Ralph Barnhill and James Milton Barnhill, eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, September 27, 2013 at 12 NOON at the Faith Alive Ministries, 3150 W. Alex Bell Road, West Carrollton with Pastor Rob Wackerman officiating. Interment will take place at the Dayton National Cemetery.
