R. Jeanette Kruer, age 97 formerly of Oakwood/Kettering Ohio, passed away peacefully on Thursday, September 18, 2026, at Madonna Manor in Villa Hills, KY. She was born on March 1, 1929, in Warren Co., Ohio, the daughter of the late Charles Dearth & Rea Melvina (Stacy) Sheehan.

Jeanette enjoyed working in her garden, sewing, needlework, ceramics, crafts, cooking and making the holidays special for the people she loved. She carefully planned crafts and activities to jointly enjoy with the grandchildren.

In her 50’s she enjoyed a decade of international travel, including family members on many of her world trips. She had a lifelong passion for football and critically watched each play of the Bengal and Buckeye games on television.

Jeanette retired from Gem Savings and was a longtime member of Fairmont Presbyterian Church in Kettering.

She was preceded in death by Clifford W. Kruer and Mark E. Eshbaugh, and sister, Clara Bernice McFadden.

Jeanette will be lovingly remembered by her family, including her sons, George Kruer and Duane Kruer; her daughter, Carol Kruer [Troy Bode], her grandchildren, Robyn Crouch [James], William “Will” Kruer, and Alex Kruer; her 4 great-grandchildren, Ella, John, Ava, and Jonah.
