Hitchcock, Jr., Paul, age 93 of West Carrollton, passed away on Monday, October 09, 2017 at Kettering Medical Center. He was born May 29, 1924 in Marion, Ohio the son of the late Paul Hitchcock, Sr., & Lillian (West) Hitchcock Stark. Mr. Hitchcock honorably served his country in the U.S. Navy during WWII, he was a member of the Central Presbyterian Church, attended the Washington Heights Baptist Church, and was a member of the West Carrollton Masonic Lodge #737 F & A.M., as a 32nd degree mason. Preceded in death by his son Paul L. Hitchcock, daughter Karen T. Hitchcock Houseman, 2 brothers Walter Hitchcock, & Brian Stark, and by a sister Marge Tharp. He is survived by his loving wife of 69 years Marvelene (Lafferty) Hitchcock, son George Hitchcock and wife Julie, daughter Mary Hitchcock Landdeck and husband Andrew, brother Robert Stark, sister Sally (Stark) Nauman and husband Ron, 10 grandchildren; Lisa, Heather, Michael, Ryan, Ashley, Jesse, Jessica, Matthew, Marisa and Grace, 5 great grandchildren, and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. Funeral services will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 15, 2017 with Masonic Service & Military Honors at the Central Presbyterian Church, 4699 Lamme Rd., Moraine, Ohio 45439 with Pastor Cliff Haddox officiating. The family will receive friends during the viewing from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Sunday at the church. A Graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, October 16, 2017 at the Davids Cemetery. Funeral procession will leave from the Swart & Wolfe Funeral Home to the Graveside at 10:30 a.m. on Monday. Arrangements entrusted to the SWART & WOLFE FUNERAL HOME, West Carrollton. www.swartandwolfefuneralhome.com. Paul was a strong Christian, feisty, funny, loving, and very devoted to his wife and family. If so desired memorial contributions may be made to the funeral home in memory of Mr. Paul Hitchcock, Jr.
