Pastor Douglas G. Criswell, age 68 of West Carrollton, Entered into the Arms of Jesus on Wednesday, January 28, 2026, at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center. He was born on September 6, 1957, in Dayton, Ohio.

Pastor Criswell began his career in ministry in 1989 at the Newtown Baptist Church in Pineville, KY; he was the former minister at Grace Baptist Church in Drexel, Unity Baptist Church; and was the current minister at Grace Baptist Church South in West Carrollton. Pastor Criswell assisted several funeral homes including Swart Funeral Home, over the years, by officiating funerals, assisting with removals, and other duties.  Doug enjoyed cooking, watching Guy Fieri cooking shows, and spending time with family and friends. Pastor Criswell especially loved his church family dearly, and his 7:00 a.m. bible studies every morning.

Preceded in death by his son-in-law Timothy P. "Tim" Bryant on November 26, 2025.

He is survived by his loving wife of 48 years Denise Criswell, his 2 daughters Michelle (Criswell) Bryant and Stephanie (Criswell) Rager and husband Kip, his mother Nancy (Criswell) Dillon, his brother Bob Dillon, grandchildren Linleigh Rae Bryant, Chelsea Bryant, Christa Zornes and Ryan Grushon, great grandchildren McKenzie, Jaxon, Lincoln, Mary, Cloey and Jocelyn, as well as numerous other relatives and many many friends.

Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 4, 2026, at the Grace Baptist Church, 851 S. Elm St., West Carrollton, with Pastor Chris Tannreuther, Pastor David Evans and Pastor Chuck Evans officiating. The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. (2 hours prior to service) at the church on Wednesday.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Faith Baptist Church (for Missions), P O Box 276, Mortons Gap, KY 42440 in memory of Pastor Douglas G. "Doug" Criswell.
