Ward, Orland E., age 96 of Miamisburg, passed away Monday, December 12, 2016. He was born May 10, 1920 in Dayton, the son of the late Charles A. & Blanche (Quillen) Ward. Orland was retired from GM with 36 years of services and honorably served his country in the U.S. Army during WWII. Preceded in death by his wife Martha Ward, a son Gary Lee Ward, 3 brothers and a sister, and special friend Sue Braden. He is survived by 3 sons Jerry Ward (Carolyn), Terry Ward (Carroll), Scott Ward (Vicki), his daughter Connie Masten (Chris), numerous grand, great grand, and great great grandchildren, 2 step-sons Dave & Mark Roy, 2 step-daughters Brenda Barion, Cathie Stephens, and a host of other family members and friends. A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, December 20, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. at the Dayton National Cemetery with Deacon Spencer Brummett officiating. The family will receive friends on Monday from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the SWART & WOLFE FUNERAL HOME, West Carrollton.
