Norman E. "Norm" Maybury, age 78 of New Lebanon, passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 23, 2023, at the Kettering Health Network – Main Campus. He was born on August 1, 1944, in Newark, Ohio, the son of the late Robert Maybury & Thelma (Manteau) Huffman.
Mr. Maybury honorably served his country in the U.S. Army. He retired as a Central Office Technician for Ohio Bell with over 33 years of service. He loved the Cleveland Browns and OSU Football.
Preceded in death by his brother Robert Maybury, his sister Doris Spurr, and by his stepfather George Huffman.
He is survived by his loving wife of 34 years Nancy (Naegeli) Maybury, his children Jennifer Greth and husband Tony, Jasen Maybury and wife Cintia, and Julie Jackson, his step-children Angela Kirk and husband Chris, William Marshall and wife Amanda, Mary Teegarden and husband Ronald, his sister Iris Hedges, step-brother Robert "Bobby" Huffman, step-sister Cindy Crane and husband Dale, 14 grandchildren Kameron, Kory and fiancée Emalyn, Araceli, Isabella, Tucker, Madison, Jackie, Marshall, Evelyn and husband Julian, Liam, Clark, Wyatt, Dorothy and Maryann, his dog puppy "Otto", as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, March 29, 2023, at the Swart Funeral Home, West Carrollton with Pastor Jim Shihady officiating. Burial will follow at Trissel Cemetery with Military Honors conducted by the Combined Honor Guard. The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Wounded Warriors or to the Fraternal Order of Police in Norm's memory. Norm was a warm, compassionate, strong and honorable man, he was the protector and provider for his family and will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
