Nancy Hanson, age 92 of Miamisburg, passed away peacefully on Saturday, May 30, 2026, at Sycamore Trails Post Acute in Miamisburg. She was born on August 16, 1933, in Dayton, Ohio, the daughter of the late Russell & Beulah (Stowe) Turner.

Mrs. Hanson dedicated many years of service as an audio-visual specialist for Dayton Public Schools and Miamisburg City Schools. She was a faithful member of the First Baptist Church of West Carrollton. Nancy also found joy as a watercolorist, creating beautiful landscapes, animals, portraits of fruits and vegetables.

She was reunited into heaven by her husband LaVerne Hanson, her brother Clifford Turner, her 2 sisters Martha Winder & Margie Schmitt. 

She is survived by her 2 loving sons Douglas Hanson and Kurt Hanson and wife Michele, her grandchildren Scott Evan Hanson, Elizabeth Ann Monroe and husband Jonathan, and Joshua Meyer, her dear friend Darby Hunt, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 27, 2026, at the First Baptist Church of West Carrollton, 705 S. Elm St., West Carrollton, Ohio 45449 with Pastor Scott Wells officiating. The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. (1 hour prior to service) at the church. Arrangements entrusted to the Swart Funeral Home, West Carrollton.
