Rawlins, Milton B., age 91 of Nashville, Illinois, passed away on Friday, August 10, 2012. He was born February 8, 1921 in Irvine, KY, the son of the late Garnie & Zetta (Tipton) Rawlins. Milton was a Little League Ball Coach, Treasurer of the Farmersville Booster Club, honorably served his country during WWII in the U.S. Army, was a retired carpenter who loved working with his hands, and loved fishing and gardening. Preceded in death by his first wife Clara Rawlins in 1983, a son Stanley, 2 brothers Harold & Glen, and a sister Virginia Slemker. He is survived by his wife Edith Rawlins, 4 sons Gerald Rawlins of Dayton, Dwight Rawlins and wife Chris of Farmersville, David Rawlins and wife Barbara of TX, Philip Rawlins of Brookville, 2 daughters Joyce Wyatt and husband Paul, Mary Thaxton and husband Dan all of New Lebanon, 2 brothers Ed Rawlins and wife Dorothy of Brookville, Albert Rawlins of FL, 2 sisters Betty Weidner and husband Jess of West Carrollton, Sue Thornbro and husband Jim of VA, 13 grandchildren Christi, Jennifer, Bryan, Melissa, Tim, Joshua, Jennifer Lynn, Jamie Lee, Heather, Shawn, Matthew, Angie, and Terry, and numerous great and great great grandchildren, and several nieces, nephews, other family and friends. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, August 16, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. from the SWART & WOLFE FUNERAL HOME, West Carrollton, with Rev. Vernon Risner officiating. Burial Miami Valley Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
