Obituary

Hauk, Michael Douglas, age 68 of West Carrollton, passed away Sat., August 22, 2015. He was born August 15, 1947 in Dayton, the son of the late William & Mary Ruth (Gillespie) Hauk. He was the Owner and Operator of MATS Equipment Co., Inc. for 42 years, retired from General Motors with 33 years of service, member of Beaver Valley Lodge #753, Yorkrite, and Antioch Shrine. Preceded in death by brother Tim Hauk. He is survived by his best friend and wife of 49 years Janet Hauk, sons Jody Hauk of West Carrollton, Jeff Hauk (Vishi Viswanatham) of San Francisco, German son Christoph Butz of Frankfurt, grandsons Gavin & Tristan Hauk, sister Patricia Jones of Huber Heights, brother Phillip Hauk (Karen) of Griffin, GA, and numerous nieces & nephews. He will be missed by many friends and business associates around Dayton and throughout the country. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the SWART & WOLFE FUNERAL HOME, West Carrollton. A private graveside service will be held at the family's convenience. Interment Evergreen Cemetery, West Carrollton.
