ASHURST, Michael Patrick age 53 of Wilmington passed quietly July 28, 2014 after a lengthy illness, surrounded by loved ones. Mike was a member of Fairmont West Class of 1979 and attended Wright State University where he was a member of Beta Phi Omega. He was a toolmaker as a member of Local IUE 755 at GM MCS. Mike was preceded in death by his father Dennis Ashurst. He is survived by his mother Susanne Frieszell, daughters Courtney (Timothy) Rhoads, Elizabeth Ashurst & Matthew Sampson, and Amy Ashurst; grandchildren Holly, Andrew, and Violet; sister Mary Ruth & Charles Potter; brothers Dennis (Jean), Mark (Mark), Dave (Debbie Tunny) and Jon (Carolyn); and numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. A celebration of life will be held this Sunday at Noon for family only.
