Stapleton, Maxel "Jackie", age 89 of West Carrollton, passed
away Tuesday, December 10, 2013. He was born July 26,
1924 in Lee County, Virginia, the son of the late Robert &
Lula (Hedrick) Stapleton. He was retired from the Ford Motor
Company. Preceded in death by his wife Sally Mae Stapleton,
4 brothers Rufus, Harold, Fred & Pettus, and a sister Ressie
May. He is survived by his son Mark Stapleton and wife
Vickie of Bellbrook, his daughter Patti Weber of New Carlisle,
his sister Minerva LaForce of Painesville, Ohio, 4 grand-
children Jeffrey & Paige, Michael & Laura, Zachary &
Alexander, 4 great grandchildren Joshua, Jacob, Meghan &
Wyatt, and a host of other family and friends. Funeral services
will be held on Monday, December 16, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. from
the SWART & WOLFE FUNERAL HOME, West Carrollton,
with Rev. Doug Surber officiating. Burial Evergreen Cemetery.
The family will receive friends on Sunday from 5:30 to 7:30
p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorials may be
made to Hospice of Dayton or the Lustgarten Foundation for
