Obituary

Mary Ann Fordyce, age 82 of Miamisburg, passed away peacefully on Friday, May 30, 2025, at Ohio's Hospice of Dayton, surrounded by her loving family.


She was born on April 28, 1943, in Maysville, KY, the daughter of the late Henry & Vesta Lovell (Hankins) Presley.


Mrs. Fordyce was a member of the Miami View Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses, and a former employee of Hillspring Skilled Nursing in Springboro. Mary Ann had a green thumb and was a master gardener, spoiling her family with her homegrown fruits and vegetables. She was not only an amazing cook; she was also known for her delicious pies. Mary Ann won a Blue Ribbon at the fair. She enjoyed reading, arts and crafts and spending time with her family and friends.


Preceded in death by her son Michael Fordyce, her grandson Dustin Russell Coffman, her sister Alma "Louise" Farmer, and by her 5 brothers Sherman Leroy Presley, William Presley, John Presley, Harold Presley and Paul Presley.


She is survived by her loving husband of 67 years Douglas Fordyce, her children: David Fordyce, Penny Coffman and husband Ted, and Seth Fordyce and wife Angela, her daughter-in-law Melody Fordyce, her sister Allene Anderson, 4 grandchildren Isaac Coffman and wife Katherine, Harrison Fordyce and wife Alyson, Mason Fordyce and Olivia Fordyce, 10 great grandchildren Reed, Judah "Jude", Logan, Ayden, Damian, Alexander "Xander", Warren, Scarlett , Sloan and Aimsley, her loving home aides Benita Coleman &Sheryl Bartley, countless friends who are like family, too numerous to list, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.


The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 5, 2025, at the Swart Funeral Home, West Carrollton.  A Private Graveside Service will be held at the Evergreen Cemetery, Mr. Mike Friedman presiding.


A Memorial Talk will be given on Saturday, June 14, 2025, at 6:30 p.m. officiated by Mr. Sean Bowser at the Miami View Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses, 6010 Munger Rd., Dayton, Ohio 45459.
