Agee, Mary L. (Pelfrey), age 99 of West Carrollton, passed away Friday, December 11, 2015. She was born August 28, 1916 in Breathitt County, KY, the daughter of the late Will Henry & Angie (Back) Pelfrey. Preceded in death by her husband Orville L. Agee in 1993, shortly after their 50th wedding anniversary, and 3 brothers Eric, Nathan & Earl. Mary worked for Grandview Hospital for 21 years, 16 of those years as Medical Records Administrator, and ending her career as an Assistant Administrator. She was recruited by the U.S. Government as a Health Records Consultant and worked in Monrovia & Liberia, teaching and training after 5 years she was transferred to Billings, MO, working in Indian Schools, Hospitals, and Health Clinics throughout Utah, Montana, and Wyoming, and then returned to Dayton in 1982 with her husband. Although she retired from government service she always made volunteering a major part of her life. Mary was a resident of Canterbury Court for almost 18 years. She is survived by several nieces & nephews, other family and friends. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, December 17, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at the SWART & WOLFE FUNERAL HOME, West Carrollton, Junior Pelfrey officiating. Burial Glen Haven Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
