Scarborough, Lewis "Vern", age 76 of Miamisburg, passed away Wednesday, February 26, 2014. He was born June 11, 1937 in West Carrollton, the son of the late Charles & Isa (Ramey) Scarborough. Vern was retired from General Motors with 31 years of service, worked for Jet Express, was a member of the West Carrollton Church of the Nazarene, Dayton Traffic Club, TOM Club, and honorably served his country in the U.S. Army. Preceded in death by 4 brothers and 2 sisters. He is survived by his loving wife of 56 years Judy (Helfinstine) Scarborough, 3 sons Greg Scarborough & wife Kim of West Carrollton, Dan Scarborough & wife Maria of Fairfield Twp., Scott Scarborough & Mary Elizabeth of Kettering, 7 grandchildren Brandon (Laura) Scarborough, Katie (Chris) Braun, Chris (Margaret) Scarborough, Joel, Charlie, Evelyn & Lillian Scarborough, 4 great grandchildren Ryleigh, Alexis, Kayleigh & Liam. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 1, 2014 at 11:30 a.m. at the West Carrollton Church of the Nazarene, 550 S. Elm Street, with Pastor Bryan Heil officiating. Burial Evergreen Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church on Saturday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the church or Hospice of Dayton in his memory.
