Hampton, Lewis F. "Joe", age 79, of Novi, Michigan passed away suddenly January 10, 2013. He was born January 31, 1933 in Temple, Texas the son of the late William and Virda (Moon) Hampton. Lewis was a life member of the Masons, and loved to play guitar and the harp. He was very giving and enjoyed tinkering with his collections. He is preceded in death by his brother Homer Hampton. Lewis was united to marriage to Jeannette L. (Brant) Hampton; they spent over 25 years together until her death on January 10, 2013.   He is survived by his children, Terry (Julie) Nelson and Debbie (Dave) Pont; his sisters, Lillie R. Spalding and Vernie R. McKel; 28 grandchildren and many great grandchildren.  A funeral service will be held on Friday, January 18, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. from the SWART & WOLFE FUNERAL HOME, West Carrollton. Burial Woodland Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
