Wrobel, Leon, age 82 passed away peacefully on December 16, 2016 at his home surrounded by his loving family after an extensive & courageous battle with Parkinson's. He was born January 26, 1934 in Trenton, NJ, the son of the late Adam & Pauline (Zola) Wrobel. Preceded in death by his oldest son Leo J. Wrobel, and his brother Edward. He is survived by his loving wife of 60 years Audrey Wrobel, his children Stephen Wrobel (Pam), Barbara Gress (John), Maryann Wilson, 8 grandchildren Brian, Ashley Glazier, Adam, Joey, Ryan Wilson, Rachel Blum, Natalie Gress, Jessica Gress, and 12 great grandchildren. Leon was retired from NCR with 36 years of service, a member of Our Lady of Good Hope Catholic Church, and the Knight of Columbus for 60 years. He was an amazing pianist, serving in many church throughout his life. If a piano was in the room Leon would draw a crowd playing with grace and animation, bringing applause and a smile to many admirers. His delight and appreciation showed the most in his love for his family, especially his wife Audrey, his Angel, who remained his warm and devoted caregiver the last years of his life. The family would like to give special thanks to the nurses and caregivers of Hospice and the Sycamore Glen Retirement Community for their caring hearts and gentle hands. A Mass of Christian Burial will be said by Father Steve Shoup on Wednesday, December 21, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at the Our Lady of Good Hope Catholic Church, Miamisburg. Burial Calvary Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the SWART & WOLFE FUNERAL HOME, West Carrollton.
