Hanson, LaVerne H., age 84 of Miamisburg, passed away Tuesday, July 28, 2015 at The Hospice of Dayton. He was born January 4, 1931 in Willmar, MN, the son of the late Henry & Laura (Peters) Hanson. Mr. Hanson was a lifetime member of Local 162 since 1953, a member of the Miamisburg Christian Church, Miamisburg Lions Club, and honorably served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. He is survived by his wife of 64 years Nancy (Turner) Hanson, 2 sons Douglas Hanson of Riverside, Kurt Hanson (Michele) of Miamisburg, his brother Allen Hanson (Joyce) of Beavercreek, 3 grandchildren Scott Hanson, Elizabeth Hanson both of Miamisburg, Joshua Meyer of Oakwood, 2 nephews Eric Hanson (Patti) of MN, Rex Turner of Verona, 6 nieces Caroline Stewart (Andy) of NJ, Sue Zubriski (John) of PA, Susan Rustad (Dennis) of MN, Marlana Schmitt of FL, Carol Nelson (David) of MN, Debbie Turner (Randy) of Tipp City, dear friends Marie Hunt of Moraine, Linda & Jim Bernard of Springfield, and numerous other family members and many friends. A Celebration of Life will be held on Monday, August 3, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at the Miamisburg Christian Church, 1146 E. Central Ave., Miamisburg with Mike Tuttle officiating. The family will receive friends on Sunday from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the church. In lieu of flowers please make donations to the church or Hospice of Dayton in his memory.
