John Ray Thomas, age 57 of West Carrollton, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, July 14, 2021 at Sycamore Hospital. He was born on May 14, 1964 in Dayton, Ohio, the son of the late John & Oma (Pennington) Thomas.

John was in the painting industry for over 25 years, and he was a former employee with Truenorth for 3 years.

Preceded in death by his sister Barbara Thomas.

He is survived by his loving sister Brenda Bennett and husband Richard, cousin (sister) Leann Powers and husband David, and cousin (nephew) Logan Powers, as well as several other relatives and friends.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 22, 2021 at the Swart Funeral Home, West Carrollton with Dr. Dan Flory officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. (1 hour prior to service) on Thursday at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Ohio's Hospice of Dayton in John's memory.

John gave the gift of life by donating his organs and saving others lives.
