Smelko, John R., age 40 of Dayton, passed away Monday, November 17, 2014. He was born April 23, 1974 in Dayton, the son of John A. Smelko & Alma (Estes) Smelko who survive him in West Carrollton. He is also survived by his brother Robert J. Smelko and wife Tara of West Carrollton. John was employed as an Iron Worker with Piqua Steel.  A member of the Iron Workers Union #290 in Dayton, Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie #2306 in Miamisburg, and the Eagle Riders of Miamisburg. A friendship service will be held on Saturday, December 6, 2014 from 1:oo p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the Friendship Baptist Church, 522 N. 12th Street, Miamisburg, Ohio. Arrangements entrusted to the SWART & WOLFE FUNERAL HOME, West Carrollton.
