John H. Hollon, age 86 of Dayton, passed away peacefully on Thursday, November 11, 2021 at the Beavercreek Health & Rehab Center.

He was born on January 27, 1935 in Stillwater, KY, the son of the late Kie & Pearl (Banks) Hollon. Preceded in death by his brother Shelby Hollon, 2 sisters Genola Patrick & Junie Peters.

He is survived by his brother Billy Joe Hollon, his loving companion of 23 years Shirley Banks, Shirley's family: 2 daughters Brenda Blair and husband Mike, Pam Bellomy and husband Tony, 4 grandchildren Justin Blair, Jessica Cramer and husband Jason, Aaron Davis and Heather Davis, 5 great grandchildren Rhylee "Sugar", Lillian, Axton, Cruz and Nora, as well as numerous other nieces, nephews, relatives and many friends.

A Graveside service will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Friday, November 19, 2021 at the Evergreen Cemetery with Mr. Quincy Long officiating. Arrangements entrusted to the Swart Funeral Home, West Carrollton. If so, desired memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105 in John's memory.
