Hammond, John E., age 69 of Miamisburg, passed away Monday, December 15, 2014. He was born April 24, 1945 in Tomahawk, WI, the son of the late Clarence & Lola (Lynch) Hammond. John was retired from General Motors with 33 years of service, honorably served his country in the U.S. Air Force, and was a member of American Legion Post 165 & VFW Post 3438. Preceded in death by his sister Juanita Lucas. He is survived by his wife of 49 years Susan K. (Morgan) Hammond, his son John A. Hammond, his grandson Kyle Hammond, brother-in-law Ben Suttman (Linda), sister-in-law Brenda Morgan Boroff (Bob), 3 nephews Sean Suttman (Denise), Craig Suttman (Lyndsey), Scott Boroff, 2 nieces Beverly Lakes Amsler (Don), Mary Boroff, close friends Shirley O'Reilly, Ed Schwettman (Anna), and many other friends. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, December 18, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. at the SWART & WOLFE FUNERAL HOME, West Carrollton. Burial Evergreen Cemetery.
