Jergens, Jerome J., born April 6, 1931, departed this life on March 27, 2013 at the age of 82. Jerome was born in Dayton and spent time on the farm outside of Miamisburg. He served his country during the Korean Conflict, was retired from General Motors with 38 years of service, and a longtime member of Our Lady of Good Hope Catholic Church. Preceded in the next life by his parents Peter and Cecelia Jergens, and a daughter Cecelia Marie. He leaves behind his beloved wife of 59 years Geraldine, his children Pat & Judy, Andy & Vicki, Bart & Tammy, Pam, Julie, Laura, Melissa & Frank Trick, Simeon & Julie, Connie & Wayne Franck, sisters Mary Ann Guntle, Delores Stuhr, and Roberta South, 13 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. A Mass of Christian Burial will be said on Monday, April 1, 2013 at 10:30 a.m. at the Our Lady of Good Hope Catholic Church, Miamisburg with Father Tom Nevels, celebrant. The family will receive friends on Sunday from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the SWART & WOLFE FUNERAL HOME, West Carrollton.
