James Gregory "Greg" Courtney, age 61 of Dayton, passed away peacefully on Thursday, February 15, 2024, at Kettering Health Network – Main Campus.

He was born on October 28, 1962, in Dayton, Ohio, the son of the late Dr. Donna S. (Smith) Courtney and James E. "Jim Courtney.

Greg was a graduate of Miami University in Oxford and Wright State University. He was an employee of Kettering Health Network with 28 years of service, and the former owner and operator of the Germantown and Trenton Skating Rinks. His sense of humor and personality will be missed by everyone who knew and loved him.

Preceded in death by his maternal grandparents Ancil & Georgia (Harper) Smith, his paternal grandparents Charles & Kathryn (Jay) Courtnery, and by his aunt Marilyn Meno.

He is survived by many special friends. A Graveside Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, March 29, 2024, at the Miami Valley Memory Gardens, Centerville, Ohio.
