James C. "Jimmy" Rose, age 72 of Miamisburg, passed away peacefully on Saturday, June 7, 2025, at Kettering Health Network – Main Campus, surrounded by his loving family. He was born on September 29, 1952, in Miamisburg, Ohio, the son of the late Carroll & Helen (Toller) Rose.
Jimmy was a retired employee of Cohen Recycling (formerly the Metal Shredders) with 53 years of service. He loved NASCAR, Cleveland Browns Football, and hanging out with family and friends in the garage.
Preceded in death by his brother Billy Rose, his sons Donald "Bubby" Doolin – Rose on December 9, 2005, and Billy Jay Harmon, Jr., on June 26, 2004, and his brother-in-law Keith Lane.
He is survived by his loving wife of 31 years Christine M. (Sheets) Rose, his 2 daughters Melissa "Missy" Johnson and husband Kyle, and Crystal Harmon, his 2 sons James E. Rose and Randall Rose, his sisters Connie Lane and Kathy Moore and husband Russell, his 2 brothers Steve "Stevie" Rose and Scott Hayes, 16 grandchildren Little Kyle, Jewell, Anita, Alyssa, Taylor, Charlotte, Graham, Kayla, Carly, Cassie, Breanna, Kaitlyn, Little Randy, Elliott, Lori and Lily, numerous great grandchildren, special friends Mike, Brenda, Sheri, Dale, Steve, Alvin, Ryan, Gene and Leslie, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
Funeral Services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, June 13, 2025, at the Swart Funeral Home, West Carrollton with Rev. Dr. Joel Getts officiating. Burial will follow at Heritage Hills Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home.
If so desired memorial contributions may be made to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105 in memory of James C. "Jimmy" Rose.
