Bancroft, James C., age 71 of West Carrollton, passed away Tuesday, June 10, 2014. He was born December 11, 1942 in Carthage, NY, the son of the late Clarence & Marguerite (Moffet) Bancroft. James was retired from NCR with 25 years of service and retired from Lexis Nexis with 20 years of service and honorably served his country in the U.S. Air Force. He is survived by his wife of 50 years Betty J. (Bolio) Bancroft, 2 sons Michael J. Bancroft, Scott E. Bancroft both of West Carrollton, 2 daughters Laura A. Longstreath, Amy E. Bancroft both of West Carrollton, his brother John Bancroft of TX, 3 sisters Jean McCracken of MI, Mary Jo Diorio and husband Fil of CT, Sheila Bancroft of NY, 2 grandsons Kevin & Matthew Longstreath and a host of other family members and many friends. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 14, 2014 at 3:30 p.m. at the SWART & WOLFE FUNERAL HOME, West Carrollton with Pastor Sandra Hilty officiating. The family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. until the time of service on Saturday at the funeral home. If so desired memorial contributions may be made to the Miami Valley Community Church in Mr. Bancroft's memory.
