Henry R. "Roger" Lucas, age 72 of West Carrollton, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, August 25, 2021 at Sycamore Hospital. He was born on April 3, 1949 in Dayton, the son of the late Emerson Sr. & Mary Pauline "Betty" (Bishop) Lucas.

Roger graduated from West Carrollton High School in 1968. He was an employee of Indoff Industries; former Owner & Operator of Lucas Office Equipment. A past member of the Centerville Rotary Club and had attended the Cross Creek Community Church.

Preceded in death by his 3 brothers Emerson "Luke" Lucas, Jr., Joseph Lucas, infant Paul Lucas and sister-in-law Juanita Lucas.

He is survived by his loving sister Brenda Vann and husband Allen, daughter Julie Neff and husband Eddie, 2 grandchildren Gary J.W. Neff (Shelby Clark) & Abigail Sue Ann Neff, 2 great granddaughters Evelyn Jean & Emma Dale Neff, sister-in-law Trish Lucas, 3 nephews Gary Vann and wife Shannon, Tom Lucas & Joe Lucas, dear friends Linda Meyers, Dan Jodrey, John & Marla Gourley, and their daughters Alexis and Morgan, as well as other relatives and many friends.

A Gathering of Family and Friends will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 1, 2021 at the Swart Funeral Home, West Carrollton. Inurnment will be held privately at the Ellerton Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the American Kidney Fund, 11921 Rockville Pike, Suite 300, Rockville, MD 20852 in Roger's memory.
