Garnet Jay "Sparky" Spencer, age 78 of Centerville, passed away peacefully on Monday, November 17, 2025, at PAM Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Miamisburg, surrounded by his loving family. He was born on May 23, 1947, in Cynthiana, Kentucky, the son of the late Margaret (Winkle) Roe and Ora Spencer.

Sparky was a 1965 graduate of Fairmont West High School and a 1994 graduate of Sinclair Community College earning a degree in Associate of Applied Science in Manufacturing Engineering Technology.  He honorably served his country in the U.S. Army. Sparky was a retired Managerial Supervisor for Dayton Progress with over 35 years of service. He loved hunting, fishing, being outdoors, reading, the Ohio State Buckeyes, politics and finance, as well as spending time with family and friends.

He is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Jennifer J. "Jenny" (Davis) Spencer, his son Jay Spencer (Rebecca Anderson), his 2 brothers Jessie Ray Spencer and wife Lan & Woodford "Woody" Spencer and wife Wilma, 2 sisters Eva Diane Johnson and husband Clifford & Shirley Mae Spencer, 3 grandchildren Candence Rachel Manos, Bentley Alan Manos, and Isla Renee Coggin, 2 special nieces Tara Schafner and Carly Coggin, as well as numerous other family members and many friends.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later time.
