Evelyn Joan Russell, age 81 of Miamisburg, passed away peacefully on Friday, April 28, 2023, at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born on June 15, 1941, in Sneedville, TN, the daughter of the late Delmus & Ina Lee (Greene) Ogan.

Mrs. Russell was a former employee of Sears & Roebuck, Capitol Cleaners and Miami Parchment Paper.

Preceded in death by her husband of 64 years Theodore "Ted" Russell on December 31, 2020, her granddaughter Ashley Lynn Garrett on September 11, 2021, her son in law Ronald "Ronnie" Garrett on October 8, 2021, her brother Michael Ogan, July 3, 1987.

She is survived by her 2 daughters Marilyn "Mitzi" Garrett & Leslie Simonton and husband Craig, her son Darin Russell and wife Lee Ann, 4 grandchildren Shannon Carroll, Jennifer Lemons and husband Noah, Matt Bush and wife Nicole, and Cory Garrett, 11 great grandchildren Anthony Grant, Christian Grant, Riley Lemons, Luke Lemons, Emma Lemons, Skylar Young, Aiyden Garrett, Kaylee Garrett, Braelynn Bush, Ava Bellnoski, and Caleb Bush, as well as numerous other relatives and friends.

Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 4, 2023, at the Swart Funeral Home, West Carrollton with Pastor Doug Criswell officiating. Burial will follow at Highland Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 3, 2023, at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Parkinson's Foundation, 695 Lincoln Park Blvd., Kettering, Ohio 45429 or to the Alzheimer's Association, 6077 Far Hills Ave., Ste 117, Dayton, Ohio 45459 in Mrs. Russell's memory.
