Alexander, Ellen A., age 89 of Centerville, Ohio passed away Saturday, June 8, 2013. She was born August 18, 1923 in Barre, Mass., the daughter of the late Ralph E. & Hazel E. (Sargent) Abbott. Mrs. Alexander honorably served her country during World War II in the U.S. Marine Corps., and started the first pre-school in Leicester and operated it for 30 years. Preceded in death by her husband Minor Alexander, 2 sons Bob Alexander, Ralph Alexander, her brother Bob Abbott, and a sister Shirley Abbott. Survivors include her 2 sons Richard L. Alexander, Sr. and Ruth Woodside of Centerville, Ohio, Randy L. Alexander and wife Eileen of Leicester, Mass., her sister Marion Mann of North Brookfield, Mass., 9 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. A graveside service will be held at the Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton, Mass.
