Phillips, Edna S., age 87 of Huntsville, AL, passed away on Saturday, March 25, 2017. She was born May 12, 1929 in Alto, GA, the daughter of the late Luther & Fannie (Martin) Shore. Mrs. Phillips was an avid volunteer at the Huntsville Hospital with over 15 years of service. Preceded in death by her husband of 43 years Barto Phillips, 2 brothers Marvin & James Shore, and by 2 sisters Francis Murray & Lily Rutledge. She is survived by 2 sons Christopher Phillips, Steven Phillips and wife Julieta, her daughter Penny Charlton and husband Lester, 6 grandchildren Courtney, Cassandra & Suzanne Phillips, Rebecca, Jeremy & Justin Charlton, and by 7 great grandchildren.  A private graveside service will be held at the Heritage Hills Memory Gardens with Pastor Mark Payne officiating. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Huntsville Hospital, 101 Sivley Rd. SW, Huntsville, AL 35801 in her memory.
