McKiddy, Edgar A., age 87 of Miamisburg, passed away Thursday, August 11, 2016. He was born October 15, 1928 in Williamsburg, KY, the son of the late Elmo & Rosa (Perkins) McKiddy. Edgar was retired from General Motors, left high school in the 9th grade to serve in the military, he went on to honorably serve his country in the U.S. Army during World War II and serving in the Big Red One from 1945 to 1949, he was a Kentucky Colonel and was a member of American Legion Post 165, and VFW Post 3438. Preceded in death by his wife of 64 years Betty Ruth McKiddy in 2013, a son Gary Lee McKiddy, a grandson Thomas Andrew, his brother Kelsey McKiddy, and 2 sisters Thelma Byrd & Marie Cooper. He is survived by 3 sons John McKiddy (Debbie), Ronnie McKiddy (Anita), Rick McKiddy (Darlene), his daughter Connie Milspaugh (Ted), 2 sisters Lavada Thorpe, Eula Partin, 7 grandchildren Timothy Shane McKiddy (Kristie), Shannan Collins (Craig), Danny Delph, Valerie Delph, Brian McKiddy, Gary McKiddy, Michael McKiddy, and step-grandson, Brandon Scott Milspaugh, 3 great grandchildren George Edgar McKiddy, Jack McKiddy and Aubrey McKiddy, and a host of other family and friends. A Graveside Service will be held on Monday, August 15, 2016 at 12 Noon at the Highland Memorial Cemetery, Miamisburg. The family will receive friends on Sunday from 5:00 p.m. to 6:45 p.m. at the SWART & WOLFE FUNERAL HOME, West Carrollton. A Time of Remembrance will be spoken on Sunday from 6:45 to 7:00 p.m. by Jim Skaggs and Raul Concha.
