Doris F. Pelfrey, age 86 of West Carrollton, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, September 30, 2020 at her home surrounded by her family. She was born on June 19, 1934 in Haldeman, Kentucky, the daughter of the late James C. & Ethel (Hinton) Adkins.

Mrs. Pelfrey attended the West Carrollton Church of the Nazarene and she loved caring for and spending time with her grandchildren.

Preceded in death by her 2 brothers Leon & Mike Adkins, infant sisters Margaret & Bernice Adkins, and her 4 sisters Glida Criswell, Ramona Potts, Edith Pence & Diane Harrier.

She is survived by her loving husband of 69 years James D. Pelfrey, 2 daughters Sue Pelfrey & Becky Pelfrey, 3 grandchildren Jimmy Pelfrey and wife Valerie, Stephanie Vaught and husband Jeremy, and Ashley Koverman, 2 great grandchildren Shae Pelfrey & Annika Clawson, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

A graveside service will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Monday, October 5, 2020 with funeral procession leaving the Swart Funeral Home in West Carrollton at 11:15 a.m. and going to Heritage Hills Memory Gardens, 7370 St. Rte. 48, Springboro, Ohio 45066 with Pastor Bryan Heil officiating, immediately following the graveside service the family will have a Celebration of Life at 1:30 p.m. at the West Carrollton Church of the Nazarene, 550 S. Elm St., West Carrollton, Ohio 45449.
