Asher, Doris J., age 75 of West Carrollton, passed away Tuesday, September 2, 2014. She was born January 29, 1939 in Dayton, the daughter of the late Vern & Marie (Rose) Moyer. Doris was a member of the Moraine City First Church of God and loved playing the piano and her church family. Preceded in death by her husband Lonnie Dean Asher, and a sister. She is survived by her son Jay D. Asher, 2 daughters Conchita Hamilton & husband Scott, Lisa Harmon & husband Larry, her sister Betty Metz & husband Rev. Willard, 4 grandchildren Derek Harmon, Brent Hamilton, Danielle Harmon, Ryan Hamilton, her great grandson Noah, lifelong friend Lucille Mercer, and a host of other family members and friends. She was a loving Mom, Nana and a forever woman of faith who will be deeply missed. The family would like to thank the wonderful ICU staff at Grandview and Southview Hospitals. Funeral services will be held on Friday, September 5, 2014 at 11:30 a.m. at the Moraine City First Church of God, 5867 N. Springboro Pike, with Rev. Russ Hays officiating. Burial Evergreen Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Friday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at the church. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the church in her memory.
