Whiteaker, Dorcus R. "Toots", age 82 of Sparta, TN, passed away on Saturday, October 20, 2012 at the Cookeville Regional Medical Center. She was born October 26, 1929 in Conway, KY, the daughter of the late Newt & Clairinda (Blair) Miracle. She attended the Miami Shores Baptist Church. Preceded in death by a daughter Linda Sue, 4 brothers and 4 sisters. Survivors include her loving husband of 65 years Beecher Whiteaker, 3 sons Beecher C. Whiteaker, Jr. and wife Deborah of TX, James C. Whiteaker of TN, Oscar N. Whiteaker and wife Rose of MS, 2 daughters Doris Hillard and husband Bill, and Irene Whiteaker all of Franklin, a special sister Mary Ruth Proffit of Beavercreek, 18 grandchildren, 30 great grandchildren and a great great granddaughter. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, October 25, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. at the Miami Valley Memory Gardens Mausoleum, Centerville with Pastor Brian Proffit officiating. Entombment to follow.
