David L. "Dave" Howard, age 83 of West Carrollton, passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 4, 2024, at Kettering Health Network – Main Campus surrounded by his loving family. He was born on July 19, 1940, in Caseville, MI, the son of the late Dolpha & Agnes (Pelphrey) Howard.

Dave graduated from the West Carrollton High School Class of 1958, and he was a member of the First Baptist Church of West Carrollton. Dave enjoyed spending time with his family.

Preceded in death by his wife Sue E. Howard on April 28, 2006, his sister-in-law Kay Howard, his sister-in-law and brother-in-law Maralene & Bill Good.

He is survived by his loving children Marci Yux and husband Dennis & Dave Howard and wife Cynthia, 2 brothers Larry Howard and wife Pat & Phillip Howard, 4 grandchildren Nathan Yux, Amanda Shearer and husband Gordon, Moriah Yux, and Dr. Justin Davidson and husband Mark, 6 great grandsons Fletcher Adams, Theo Adams, Noah Yux, Dakota Davidson, Cameron Davidson and Mackenzie Davidson, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 13, 2024, at the First Baptist Church of West Carrollton, 705 S. Elm St., West Carrollton with Pastor Scott Wells officiating. Burial Evergreen Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. (1 hour prior to service) on Saturday at the church.
