Obituary

Daniel L. Rogge, age 78 of Dayton passed away peacefully on Monday, May 30, 2022, at Ohio's Hospice of Dayton. He was born on July 8, 1943, in Paso Robles, CA, the son of the late Kenneth & Donna (Miller) Rogge.


Mr. Rogge was a retired Industrial Sheet Metal Technician for General Motors with 34 years of service. He was an airplane, train, boat and old antique car enthusiast and loved spending time with his grandsons at the Air Force Museum, and especially enjoyed spending time with his family.


Preceded in death by his wife Shirley Rogge on March 23, 2020, his daughter Deborah Rogge Helmer, and by his grandson Paul Daniel Helmer.


He is survived by his loving family, daughter Diana Speraw and husband Chris, step-son Brad Hunt and wife Amy, 3 grandsons Ben Donohoo, Tyler Robert Hunt and Chase William Hunt, as well as other family members and many friends.


A Celebration of Life will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 4, 2022, at Swart Funeral Home, West Carrollton with Pastor Wayne Woody officiating. The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. (1 hour prior to service) on Saturday at the funeral home.


In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Wounded Warriors Project or Ohio's Hospice of Dayton on Mr. Rogge's memory.
