Charles L. "Charlie" Bond, age 86 of West Carrollton, passed away peacefully on Friday, February 28, 2025, at Kettering Health Network- Main Campus, surrounded by his loving family.
He was born on June 19, 1938, in Dayton, Ohio, the son of the late Henry A. & Ruby K. (Humerick) Bond.
Mr. Bond was a retired Millwright and held other positions for Miami Oxford Paper Co., with 40 years of service. He had attended the Weslyn Church in West Carrollton and was a member of the Franklin Faith Tabernacle in Franklin. Charlie was a member of the West Carrollton Masonic Lodge #737 F. & A.M., the Scottish Rite Valley of Dayton, and the Antioch Shrine, Dayton.
Preceded in death by his wife Betty Joe (Haynes) Bond on January 31, 2006, his brother Wilbur Bond, and by 2 sisters Dolores Collins and Nadine Kindy.
He is survived by his loving son Timothy "Tim" Bond and wife Donna A., his stepdaughter Candy Sue Joyce and husband Troy, 3 grandchildren Joe Bond, Heather Roach and husband Jason, and Tyler Joyce, his great grandson Oliver Roach, his 2 great granddaughters Madison Patterson and wife Paige, Dakota Roach, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, March 7, 2025, at the Swart Funeral Home, West Carrollton with Brother Richard Gifford officiating. Burial will follow at Evergreen Cemetery in West Carrollton. The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. (2 hours prior to service) on Friday at the funeral home.
If so desired memorial contributions may be made to the Shriner's Children's Hospital, 1 Children's Plaza, 2W, Dayton, Ohio 45404 in memory of Mr. Charles L. "Charlie" Bond.
