Charlene Smith, age 85 of Miamisburg, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, November 23, 2021 at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born on July 19, 1936 in Little Crab, TN, the daughter of the late Charles "Charlie" & Pensie (Carr) Beaty.

Mrs. Smith was a former employee of Walnut Creek Nursing Center with over 15 years of service; and she was a member of the Jacob Eby Chapter #571, O.E.S., West Carrollton.

Preceded in death by her husband Duell "Duke" Smith, her son Danny Smith, 2 brothers James Beaty & Richard Dale Beaty, 2 sisters Wilda Helmer & Vivian Gail Helmer.

She is survived by her children Johnny Duell Smith & Rebecca Sue Callihan and husband Sam, her sister Judy Hall and husband Butch, 6 grandchildren Candy Long and husband Keith, Robert Lucas, Joshua Smith, Ryan Lucas, Jasmine Smith and Sarah Lucas, great granddaughter Danny Long, great grandson Jacob Long, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, November 30, 2021 at the Swart Funeral Home, West Carrollton with Pastor Wayne Woody officiating.  Burial Evergreen Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Monday at the funeral home with Eastern Star Services beginning at 7:45 p.m.  If so, desired memorial contributions may be made to the Shriners Children's Ohio (Dayton Campus) 1 Children's Plaza 2-W, Dayton, Ohio 45404 in Charlene's memory.
