Carol A. Woodward, age 85 of Dayton, passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 19, 2024, at Ohio's Hospice of Dayton surrounded by her loving family. She was born on July 17, 1939, in Painesville, Ohio, the daughter of the late Emil & Elsie (Kracker) Hoegler.

Mrs. Woodward was a graduate of the University of Dayton, and a Teacher for Walter Shade Elementary School in West Carrollton. She was a member of The Church of the Incarnation.

Preceded in death by her husband Richard E. "Dick" Woodward, her daughter Therese Anne Fittz, and by her grandson Joshua Michael Fittz

She is survived by her loving family: daughter Lauren Kilgore, her 5 siblings Marilyn, John, Patty, Linda and Debbie, her sister-in-law Diane, her 2 grandsons Kyle and Logan, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

Mass of Christian Burial will be said at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 24, 2024, at The Church of the Incarnation, 55 Williamsburg Lane, Centerville, OH 45459. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery in Dayton.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Ohio's Hospice of Dayton in memory of Mrs. Carol A. Woodward.
