Obituary

Sparks, Carl Ray, age 69 of Moraine, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, July 8, 2016. He was born December 5, 1946 in Richmond, Kentucky. He was journeyman machinist by trade for 47 years. Carl could make anything by just looking at it. A member of Masonic Lodge #729 F & A.M. and honorably served his country in the U.S. Navy during Vietnam. Preceded in death by his father Raymond O. Sparks. Carl is survived by his mother Ruby (Gilbert) Sparks, brothers Danny Sparks (Vicky) of Huber Heights, Tim Sparks (Teresa) of Trenton, nieces Brandy (Adam), Tiffany (Chris), great nieces/nephews Mattie, Hannah, Aidan, Cole, Jackie, Brandon, Carson, and Cameron, and a host of friends. A Graveside Service with Military Honors will be held on Monday, July 18, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. at the Dayton National Cemetery with Pastor Jon Young officiating. The family will receive friends on Sunday, July 17, 2016 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the SWART & WOLFE FUNERAL HOME, West Carrollton. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Miami Valley or Astoria Health and Rehab Center in his memory. www.swartandwolfefuneralhome.com.
